Welcome to Duck Shack 

My husband Andy and I (Lee)  are both originally from Canton, China. I came to UK to study in 1999 and completed Bachelor degree in Educational Studies and Master degree in Marketing Practice, before working as a fibre specialist and lab manager for an international laboratory for 17 years. We have always lived in Yorkshire and now have settled down in York with three boys. My husband has been working in catering industry for over 15 years and I love cooking and socialising, so we thought it would be nice to bring York a Chinese Café style Restaurant, where you could indulge in mouth-watering traditional Cantonese roasted meats and Dim Sum,  or simply enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. A place filled with amazing flavours, kindness and laughter was what we were going for.

Traditional roasted ​meats such as Roasted duck, Char siu pork and Crispy pork belly are very popular among Chinese community due to its unique flavour and texture. If you are new to this type of food, you are welcome to come and try before you buy!
